We are pleased to announce the following people have joined our team:

Michael J. Gildea - The Quandel Group, Inc. welcomes Michael J. Gildea in the position of Project Superintendent. Mike's first assignment will be The Commonwealth Medical College project in Scranton, PA. He has an Associates Degree in Occupational/Construction Studies from Alfred State College, SUNY College of Technology. In the past, Mike worked for local construction firms and has experience with warehousing, downtown redevelopment, freezer storage and site development.

Joe Bielawski - Joe Bielawski rejoined The Quandel Group on August 16th as a Project Superintendent on the Perry County Prison project. Joe previously worked for Quandel from 2003-2008. He began his construction career as a framer and crew foreman, ran his own business for seven years and has worked as superintendent for various construction firms.

Jamie Brundrett - Jamie Brundrett joined The Quandel Group on August 3rd in the position of Project Manager. He will be working on-site at the London City Schools project, located in London, OH. Jamie has a bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University; he also has a Masters in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University. Prior to joining Quandel, Jamie worked for a local general contracting/construction management firm, serving in the role of Project Engineer for six years and then as a Project Manager for the last three years. He has experience working on several higher education projects as well as a community housing project.

Mike Tackett - The Quandel Group welcomes Mike Tackett as a Carpenter. Mike began work on August 2nd and will be working with the SPS Team on the Village of Obetz project, in Obetz, OH. He is a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and also went through the South Central Ohio Carpenters' Union Apprenticeship Program. Mike spent 12 years with the Carpenters' Union working for a local contractor in the Columbus area. He has his 10-Hour OSHA Certification as well as being a qualified operator of power actuated tools and is UBC scaffold qualified.

Richard J. Himmelreich - Richard J. Himmelreich joined MSG/Quandel, a division of The Quandel Group, Inc., on July 28th in the position of Project Superintendent. Rich previously worked for a contractor in Mifflinburg since 1991 and also owned his own framing company.

Daniel Stumbo - Daniel Stumbo began with The Quandel Group on the 26th of July in the position of Laborer. He will be working on the OhioHealth Kobacker House project. Daniel is a graduate of Pickaway Ross C.A.T.S and worked as a union carpentry for a local contractor. He is certified as Aerial Lift Operator, OSHA 10 hour certified and also a certified scaffold erector.

Shane Peck - Shane Peck joined with The Quandel Group on July 26th as a Carpenter. He will be working on the Village of Obetz project with the SPS Group. Shane is certified in OSHA 10-hour training, Powder Actuated Tools, Scaffold, Forklifts, CPER and First Aid. Shane started in the carpenters union and has 15 plus years experience in the industry working in roles from carpenter, foreman and superintendent.

Mark Robinson - The Quandel Group welcomes Mark Robinson, who began work on the 26th of July in the position of Project Superintendent. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in Biological Services. Mark brings 15 years of construction industry experience with him, specifically in the K-12 market. He will be working on the Russia Local Schools project.

Robert J. Fritch - Quandel Enterprises, Inc. welcomes Bob Fritch to our Scranton office, where he began on June 28th as an Estimator. In the construction business for 40 years, Bob has done conceptual estimates, hard estimates, project management, construction management and general superintendent duties in his career. His projects include schools, university work, parking decks, courthouse, flood control, prisons, churches, high rise and retail.

Ching Ly - Ching Ly joined our Scranton Office as a temporary Receptionist and Office Assistant for the Summer of 2010. Ching is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and has worked in various positions where she utilized her administrative and receptionist experience throughout her college career and beyond. She most recently worked in New York and relocated to Scranton area.

Patrick Mason, LEED AP - Patrick Mason, LEED AP, joined The Quandel Group on May 17th in the position of Assistant Project Manager. Patrick will be based on-site at the Edgewood City Schools project that is located in Trenton, Ohio. Patrick is a LEED AP, with a degree in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati. Previously, Patrick worked as a Project Engineer on several noteworthy projects.

Dan Graham - Dan Graham joined The Quandel Group on May 17th as a carpenter. Dan had 13 years of carpentry/construction experience. He spent the past 12 years with local construction firms.

Jane Adams - Jane Adams joined The Quandel Group on May 5th in the position of Receptionist in our Westerville Office. Jane has ten years of prior construction industry experience. For the past nine years, Jane worked in the Worthington City Schools as a Sub Secretary/Aid.

Andy Hayes - Andy started with The Quandel Group on May 5th as a Carpenter. He has 25 years of experience in the commercial and residential construction industry and has primarily at OSU Medical Center for the last 6 years.

Alex Theado - Alex Theado started in the role of Project Engineer for The Quandel Group in April 2010. He started working for Quandel in September 2009 in a Post Graduate Internship Position. Alex graduated from The Ohio State University in June of 2009 with a degree in Construction Management. Since Alex started with Quandel, he has worked on the Highland Local Schools project, located in Sparta, and that is where he is still based.

Drew Waltz - The Quandel Group welcomes Drew Waltz, who started on April 12th in the role of Field Clerk on the CGOH PinnacleHealth System projects. Drew will be assiting our on-site Project Superintendent, Dave Myers. For the past three years, Drew has been working for Witmer Masonry while taking classes at Harrisburg Area Community College in the Building Construction Technology field. He has one more class to take in the Fall before receiving his degree.

Michael Bixler - The Quandel Group welcomes Michael Bixler as a Project Superintendent to assist on the Dallastown Area School District's New Intermediate School. Mike has experience in school construction, warehouses, retail, government, higher education, and student housing projects. He previously worked for local construction firms and was also self-employed for a few years.

Michael D'Alessio - Michael D'Alessio recently joined MSG/Quandel, a Quandel Group company, as a Project Superintendent to work on the Scranton Housing Authority project. He was previously employed by MSG for 16 years and started his career in the field as a laborer/carpenter/electrician. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University.

Michael Krzywicki, P.E. - The Quandel Group welcomes Michael Krzywicki, P.E. as a Project Manager in our Scranton office. Mike's first assignment will be working on the New Unified Science Center for the University of Scranton. Mike has an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology, both from Pennsylvania State University. Most recently, he worked for 15 years as a Project Manager for a Wilkes-Barre construction firm. Mike started his career as a designer and detailer for HVAC and plumbing systems and later worked as a surveyor, draftsman, and project engineer.

Greg Quandel - Greg Quandel has joined Quandel's Harrisburg office as a Project Engineer. Previously, Greg was very involved in the family concrete business in sales and quality control, as well as the delivery, technical/mix design, and regulatory compliance areas. Greg possesses numerous concrete certifications from ACI, NRMCA & PA DOT. He has a degree in accounting from Albright College.
