Project Description

Quandel managed the renovations to Tompkins Cortland Community College’s Student Center, which included numerous amenities ranging from a fireside café to state-of-the-art instructional suites.

The transformation of an interior gym into a two-story learning commons, which houses the library, instructional technology and student tutorial areas, was extensive and required the use of heavy equipment inside the building’s structure to complete. Due to these vast renovations, special care and planning was needed to minimize disruption.

The new addition blends in with the college’s architecture and connects to the main campus. Quandel completed this well-received project in just seven months!

Quandel thoroughly explained the construction process so that everyone involved understood what was happening and when. Construction meetings were focused, and everyone at Quandel was prompt, courteous and professional during the entire project. Whenever a problem surfaced with one of the many prime contractors, the project manager worked to resolve the issue quickly and efficiently. Having worked with Quandel on several projects, I would not hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them for their exceptional experience and service.
