Quandel’s scope of work included over 12,000 sq. ft. of renovations on the 8th floor of the existing hospital to renovate a space into the Sleep Laboratory.
Delivery of materials became quite a challenge as the materials had to fit inside the elevator and could only be transported during the day shift in between breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Crane deliveries were limited to Saturdays, which made advance planning key to meeting the required completion date. Another complication to the project was the only landing area was located in an area that had to be enclosed within the first three months of the project and stored in the footprint of the project as work continued around it.
