SCRANTON – The International Sports Training Camp, a 500-acre private summer camping facility in Stroudsburg, hired Quandel Construction Group as the General Contractor for their new dining hall. Overlooking the camp’s private lake, the two-story, 18,500 square foot dining facility will serve meals to 275 weekly campers.
Included in the project will be an upper-level dining hall with seating for 300, supported by a full kitchen, with a large deck overlooking the lake. Large and small meeting rooms, as well as support spaces, will be located on the first floor. The building will be a combination of wood frame construction with structural steel columns, elevated concrete deck for the second floor and slab-on-grade construction at the lower level.
Sitework for the building includes low pressure gas system and underground storage tanks, relocation and rerouting of overhead power, sanitary lines and required stations and a new domestic water well. Without interfering with daily camp activities, Quandel is constructing the new facility while overseeing a separate sprinkler well project.
The project is scheduled to be completed in January 2015.
