Quandel was hired by Dickinson College to construct a 22,500 square-foot expansion to their Rector Science Complex. The addition includes a state-of-the-art research and teaching space, an enclosed courtyard, and ,study nooks.
The addition matches the existing, unique building in terms of construction type and materials, both inside and out. The added space includes teaching labs, research labs, and an office for biology faculty.
During construction of the project, Quandel followed LEED guidelines in order to minimize the amount of construction waste being sent to landfills, recycling and reusing as much as possible, and reducing emissions associated with construction equipment.

Quandel construction was extremely attentive to the details of a complicated design and worked well with Dickinson’s team as well as the design team in achieving all of our objectives. Quandel's staff always maintained focus on our priorities even when faced with challenges. In addition to exceeding our expectations, the project was completed on time and budget.
