Quandel was selected as construction manager to convert office, storage, and former laboratory spaces into a new Anatomic Pathology Laboratory. The improvement program included a Histology function, flammable storage room, larger restrooms, an expanded lounge, and a fully-equipped “temporary” lab to serve as a future laboratory space. Construction and phased renovations occurred while the existing lab was in full operation.
The 4,800-square-foot renovation initiative, located within the existing hospital, included new data wiring, wall reconfiguration, window replacements, a new mechanical system and controls, fire protection upgrades, enhanced electrical infrastructure, wall and floor finishes, lab casework, and associated Department of Health Life Safety improvements.
