Quandel provided construction management services for UPMC’s new Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Lower Paxton Township, PA. The two-story, 80,000-square-foot facility is an addition to the existing Community Osteopathic Hospital.
The first floor contains 19,000 square feet of outpatient and occupational therapy units along with a therapy pool. The second floor consists of 56 patient beds of both single and double rooms. The new facility also contains a new, two-story main lobby entrance with an atrium connecting the new facility with the existing hospital. In addition, there is also 8,000 square feet of shell space for future growth.

The facility turned out to be everything we and the architect planned it to be, both functionally and aesthetically. This is, in part, due to the people Quandel assigned to our project. Every one of them exhibited exactly the kind of caring, professional attitude and behavior we strive to have our own employees exhibit. Their actions did more than just impress me, they made a lasting mark in the memories of everyone at Pinnacle Health who was involved in the project. Thank you for building a wonderful facility for us!
