The selection was made as Quandel is on the Department’s select list of construction management firms.
The new facility is being built to ensure the supply of continuous power and communication that is necessary for Center operation and will provide a building that will be reinforced and secure for emergency staff. The new facility will provide dedicated emergency services and disaster assistance for the State, with the ability to sustain uninterrupted operations during activations.
Quandel’s services include estimating and schedule reviews, as well as full-time, on-site representation of the Department’s interests between DGS and the prime contractors.
PEMA has a goal of design and construction to achieve a LEED Certified rating.
