Camden Station Renovations

Camden Station, built in 1856 and located adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, is well known as the train station where Abraham Lincoln waited on his way to Gettysburg.

Project Details.

The Maryland Stadium Authority, worked closely with the Babe Ruth Museum and J. Vinton Schafer to successfully complete the major restoration and expansion of the 4 story, 44,000 square foot historic building. Major renovations were performed to the building’s plaster, windows, fixtures, prominent staircases, and entrances. The project also included the expansion/addition of restrooms, elevators, mechanical and electrical systems, security, HVAC and fire alarm systems, and installation of lighting, video, and sound equipment. The work transformed this train station into a building that houses the Maryland Sports Legends and Babe Ruth Museum.
