New, state-of-the-art 21st century, sustainable high school for Edgewood City School District. The timeless new learning environment stands at 217,690 SF and is poised to achieve LEED® Gold status from the U.S. Green Building Council. The project site is located above one of the largest aquifers in the Midwest, which supplies water to the surrounding community, requiring early planning and coordination between the project team, EPA and the Water Authority to insure compliance with requirements. The innovative underground geothermal heating and cooling system drastically reduces energy consumption and overall cost.
