Granville Exempted Village Schools New Intermediate School

Project Name

Granville Intermediate School

Granville, OH

Project Description

Quandel Construction managed the construction of a new intermediate school in the Granville Exempted Village School District, located in the picturesque town of Granville, Ohio. The district is one of the top academic and most prestigious school districts in the state, and there was active involvement and interest by the community in the project.

The time frame for the new school was tight, with design starting in August 2000 and construction completed in August 2002. Because there were challenges in the availability of water and sewer to the site, the start of construction was delayed. Quandel worked closely with the District and the community to overcome this challenge and still complete a top-quality building on time and under budget.

Part of a $32 million project, the new Granville Intermediate School is comprised of separate pods for grades 4-6 as well as areas for all students including a gymnasium, media center, commons, and other related spaces.
