Project Description

When hired to manage the construction of the new Scranton High School, Quandel Construction Group was faced with a multi-phase project and a barrage of crucial deadlines. Through effective value engineering, Quandel was able to bring the project in at between $3 and $4 million under budget and ensure a fall completion date. One of Northeast Pennsylvania’s premier educational facilities, the new Scranton High School is home to three academic wings, a library, a gymnasium, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Throughout the construction of our new high school, Quandel’s on-site employees were quick and thorough in their responses to questions and concerns from all involved parties. Administrators, board members, and the general public were treated with courtesy and respect at all times. Quandel held the line on negative change orders and made a number of suggestions for positive-effect change orders. Due largely to Quandel’s recommendations and strategies, this project is going to come in somewhere between $3 and $4 million under budget.
