Project Description
After a competitive bidding process, Quandel Construction was selected as the General Contractor for additions and renovations to St. Joseph’s Center in Dunmore, PA. The main building at St. Joseph’s Center was originally constructed in 1900 and is home to 88 individuals with profound mental retardation and serious physical handicaps. Over time, resident needs have become greater, and this project was initiated in order to better serve the residents’ increasing needs.
The 27,000 sq. ft. project involved renovations to resident rooms with new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems along with new floors, walls, and ceilings. In addition, a new laundry and kitchen facility was constructed along with renovations to the existing maintenance shop.
