Warren County Jail Renovation

Project Name

Warren County, PA

Project Description

Unanticipated delays in security hardware delivery and poor soil conditions at the site of the Warren County Jail cost several weeks of construction work, but Quandel Construction still brought the project in on schedule and within budget.

Quandel managed renovations that included cutting a second floor outside exercise area in half, putting a roof on the second floor, and adding a third floor. Each floor houses 12 prisoners in a dormitory setting. Outside stairways to the basement and second and third stories also were built.

We felt they had the expertise we wanted and it made sense because they were already here. There were also some cost savings to be considered. Quandel’s project superintendent has years and years of experience as a construction manager. With his knowledge and the way he watched over the project, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Everything went very smoothly.
