Project Description
The School District of the City of York selected Quandel to manage the construction of the addition and renovations to the William Penn Senior High School. The project included 162,000 sq. ft. of new construction and 250,000 sq. ft. of renovations. The project was scheduled in five major phases that occurred over three years.
The project site was located within the city limits and had minimal space for storage of materials. It required a very well orchestrated and organized effort in scheduling the delivery of materials as necessary to maintain the project schedule. The new facility features a 950-seat auditorium, new classrooms, new library and new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. In addition, the facade is comprised of masonry construction with the emphasis in maintaining the original
