Quandel’s work as Construction Manager on the Human Services Center involved overseeing the removal of asbestos, gutting of the facility’s interior, installation of new mechanical and electrical systems, and construction of a new facility entrance. Additional project components included the design of new office space, the replacement of facility windows, and repairs to the building’s masonry exterior.
The five-story Human Services Center now houses County human services agencies and other County offices.
The Centre County commissioners chose Quandel to work on our new human services center because we knew Quandel could prepare feasibility studies on the project in addition to serving as construction manager. The project would not have gotten off the ground or been completed ahead of schedule and under budget without the involvement of Quandel. The center county commissioners were impressed with the fact that Quandel’s commitment to our needs came ahead of everything else. The caliber of Quandel’s personnel, from their project supervisor to their marketing personnel, is excellent. We have never worked with a firm that excelled in all areas of responsibility. We received maximum cooperation and teamwork from Quandel.
