Our firm will provide CMa services for the demolition of the existing school and for the replacement school.
As an extension of the HCPS facilities team, we will provide cost estimates, detailed constructability reviews, detailed prime scopes, project schedule, and phasing plan. Throughout construction, we will manage multiple primes and will continue to review the project schedule, track LEED requirements, and manage the construction activities. We will aid HCPS in project procurement, coordinating and facilitating administrative functions related to the project, and assist with site management.
The school was designed in clusters, by grade, including pre-kindergarten. Each classroom will allow for flexibility in instruction and learning and will accommodate various sized groups. The learning spaces will have the ability to expand and contract. Maximum connectivity to outside resources will be required in the classrooms for the future, including voice, video, Wi-Fi, and data cabling.
The staff work areas will be arranged to encourage interdisciplinary interaction. The office space will provide maximum observation of the main building entrance. The new facility will provide natural lighting, and the inside design will create a sense of community. The recreational spaces will be used by the community surrounding the school in addition to the students of the school.
