J. Vinton Schafer is providing preconstruction and construction services for the Oakland Mills Middle School. Our firm collaborated closely with Howard County Public Schools to conduct a thorough feasibility study for the phased occupied renovation of the Middle School. Delving into four diverse options, including the exploration of a NetZero school, our team strategically opted for a forward-looking plan: the renovation of the existing facility while maintaining ongoing operations. This phased approach ensures a smooth transition, allowing the existing school to remain active until the rejuvenation is complete. Once the renovated school is operational, our vision extends to the removal of outdated structures, making room for the development of expansive fields and additional parking facilities. This project underscores our commitment to innovative and sustainable educational infrastructure solutions, showcasing our ability to navigate complexities and deliver transformative outcomes. We eagerly anticipate the prospect of further discussions to bring this vision to reality.
