Located directly adjacent to McGurrin Hall is the newly constructed, eight-story Center for Edward Leahy Jr. Center for Rehabilitation Education. As part of the new Leahy Hall project, Quandel Construction Group created several direct connections between the two buildings, as well as a new main entrance that now serves both McGurrin and Leahy Halls.
Renovations included reconfiguring the former main entrance to usable circulation space and retrofitting recently vacated offices to create additional classroom spaces for the University. The remaining project scope focused on energy efficient upgrades and the installation of new HVAC controls, which ties both connected buildings into one system.
