Mentor Program Awards Scholarships

On April 27, 2023, sponsors, supporters, mentors and participants of the ACE Mentor Program of Central PA gathered the for annual fundraising breakfast held the Conference Center at Central Penn College. Eight students who participated in the program this year received scholarships during the event.

The mission of the ACE Mentor Program is to educate high school student on the varied and exciting career opportunities in Architecture, Construction and Engineering and related fields using a mix of mentoring, experiential learning and structured academics.

ACE has been active in Central Pennsylvania for nearly two decades, and the local affiliate has ranked among the nation’s largest programs for the past thirteen years. During the 2022-2023 academic year, nearly 50 students representing 25 schools participated in an in-person instruction program with our Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, and York students.

Fast Facts: ACE Mentor ProGRAM

  • Celebrating 17 years in Central PA with four concurrent programs running in Cumberland, Dauphin, York, and Lancaster counties.
  • Dauphin county program parallels the traditional ACE Program with a Skilled Trades Program focused on the crafts.
  • 50% of all students are exposed to both the Professional and Skilled Trades Programs through integrated crossover opportunities or additional curriculum sessions.
  • Since our inception, the program has awarded more than 175 scholarships for students in the Central PA Program.

Pyramid Construction and Quandel Construction, along with many other area companies, support the program as sponsors every year, playing an important role in continuing ACE’s legacy of awarding scholarships to deserving students as they further their education. ACE students commonly go on to pursue apprenticeship training in the skilled trades or college degrees in architecture, construction management, engineering or related fields. To date, the program has been able to award over $110,000 in scholarships to local students.
