At Pyramid Construction, we are proud to play a role in meaningful projects that deliver lasting community impact. One of our current initiatives—the Tunnel to Towers Veterans Village in Harrisburg, PA—is a powerful example of how modular construction is transforming the way we build high-quality, multi-unit housing quickly and efficiently.
Designed to provide permanent, supportive housing for veterans, this development demonstrates how innovative building methods can address urgent housing needs while maintaining quality, dignity, and long-term durability.

What is modular construction?
Modular construction is a modern building method where structures are fabricated in off-site, controlled factory environments, then transported and assembled on location.
Each module is a nearly complete section of the building—often including walls, flooring, electrical systems, plumbing, and finishes—before it ever reaches the jobsite.
Once delivered, these modules are positioned, connected, and finished on-site, forming a complete multi-unit structure that meets the same codes and standards as traditional construction.
Modular construction is ideal for a multi-unit housing project like Veterans Village and offers the advantage of accelerated timelines, cost efficiency and predictability, and consistent quality control.
Putting it All in Place
Modules construction offsite for the Veterans Village apartment building were carefully transported to the jobsite where they were then lifted into place using cranes and set onto the prepared podium structure. After they are set, the modules are connected to mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and the structural tie-ins between units before being weatherproofed and sealed.

delivering impact through innovative construction
The Tunnel to Towers Veterans Village is more than a construction project—it’s a commitment to those who have served. By leveraging modular building technology, Pyramid Construction is helping deliver faster access to safe, permanent housing, high-quality living spaces, and efficient, scalable construction solutions.
The demand for affordable and multi-unit housing continues to grow and modular construction will place an increasingly vital role in shaping communities across Pennsylvania and beyond.
