Evangelical Community Hospital engaged Quandel to manage major renovations to their existing Obstetrics (OB) Suite. The renovations included the installation of a new HVAC system, technology upgrades, new finishes throughout, and new toilet fixtures.
The major challenge to construction of this space was the fact that there was not another area to move the existing OB Suite. The project required extensive planning and coordination with the hospital’s clinical staff and facilities department. The end result was eight phases of construction.
Quandel developed a plan to utilize the roof by building a platform to move materials to the work space and remove trash from the building. This approach avoided moving materials through the hospital, resulting in minimal disruptions. Because of the sensitivity and security required in this area, Quandel worked with Evangelical Community Hospital to develop a security plan for the construction workers.
