As the construction manager at-risk, we were responsible for integrating the design and construction phases, developing schedules, preparing project construction estimates, studying labor conditions, and, in any other way deemed necessary, contributed to the development of the project during the preconstruction/design phase. During the construction phase, we constructed the project under the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) inclusive of construction services therein.
The Jefferson Hall reconfiguration project includes a renovation to the existing building and an addition of a second entrance along the north side of the building. The reconfiguration of the first floor and minor modifications to the second and third floors consolidated the Learning Support services to create a more efficient and cost-effective Enrollment Services Building and a one-stop shop for current and prospective students. The functional enhancement of the space included the colocation and consolidation of services and a visual connectivity and ease of access to other necessary Learning Support spaces, such as the Testing Center located in Linganore Hall. These enhancements created a seamless approach to enrollment and learning support delivery.
