The renovation project at the School of Dentistry involves the transformation of existing office space into a state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center, addressing the critical need for enhanced sedation and anesthesia services. This project includes creating a patient drop-off area, an exterior canopy, associated interior building access, and security modifications to ensure seamless patient flow and safety.
Additional modifications will be made throughout the building to accommodate the new surgery center and optimize underutilized spaces. This includes fitting approximately 2,087 square feet of office space on the fifth floor and modifying approximately 2,835 square feet on the sixth floor. Moreover, the project will enhance interior connectivity by providing circulation access to the existing exterior terrace, necessitating a vestibule, potential vending area relocation, and security reconfiguration considerations. All work will be meticulously phased to minimize disruption to ongoing operations within the School of Dentistry.
