Our firm provided construction management at risk services (preconstruction and construction) for the renovation of Dorchester Hall. The 35,436 square-foot, four-story Georgian-style building is comprised of residential bedrooms, community bathrooms, staff apartment, and lounges on the upper three floors. The ground floor contains bedroom and bathrooms along with laundry, building kitchen, staff offices, lounges, seminar rooms and mechanical/building service spaces. Renovations included new HVAC and building mechanical systems, new bathrooms and plumbing, new electrical system and service, new LED lighting, reconfiguration of areas to accommodate new study rooms, and new exterior windows. This was a rigorous seven-month schedule. From start to finish, we managed the renovations for 141 residential living spaces on four floors. Working closely with the trades and adhering to our schedule timeline helped make this a successful project.
