The Quandel Company is founded by Emil Quandel as a limekiln and building materials supplier.

1942

Quandel opens its first concrete plant.

1977

Noble Quandel, Jr. becomes President and CEO, making Quandel a 4th generation family owned business.

1981

Quandel wins its first million-dollar project.

1996

Quandel expands to the Midwest by opening the first Ohio office.

2001

Quandel opens full-service office in Scranton, PA.

2003

Quandel forms Performance Construction Services, located in Pottsville, PA.

2004

Quandel acquires Pyramid Construction Services, located in Wormleysburg, PA.

2005

Quandel institutes Employee Stock Ownership Program.

2006

QEI Construction Group, LLC is formed.

2007

Quandel forms Quandel Consultants, a railway engineering firm, located in Chicago, IL.

2010

Quandel acquires J. Vinton Schafer & Sons, located in Abingdon, MD.

2013

Quandel is awarded Mount Carmel Health System Grove City Hospital project (with Joint-Venture partner, Hunt Construction) in Grove City, Ohio at $219 million.

2014

Quandel climbs to 200 on the ENR Top 400 Contractors list.

2017

Quandel celebrates its 135th anniversary!

2017

Quandel is awarded the UPMC Pinnacle York Memorial Hospital project in York, Pennsylvania at $106 million.
