HARRISBURG – Quandel Construction Group has begun renovations on the Luerssen Building on the Penn State Berks Campus, in Reading, which will provide badly needed science facilities and general academic classroom space. When completed, Luerssen will house the Biology, Physics and Chemistry Departments, 12 General Academic Classrooms and Computer Labs plus the IT Department and Campus Police.
The Luerssen Building was built in 1972 and was the first building at the Penn State Berks Campus. Luerssen houses classrooms, faculty offices, engineering labs, a computer center, animal science lab, biology labs and occupational therapy labs.
